I just… this gives me a lot of emotions because i know where that pride comes from. Like, he was just some actor struggling in London, trying to get a big break. And he was doing good, he had jobs on stage and they weren’t anything to laugh at—he worked with Ewan McGreggor! And he’d done some tv shows and indie films, but nothing that would set his career on the map. He was trying to make a name for himself, and lo and behold, this really obscure and low budget movie comes along called Thor (read: extremely high budget and widely publicized) and all of the sudden he’s going places. Enter Avengers, and he’s quickly a household name, or at least on his way there. And all of those other big movies (WOODY ALLEN! STEVEN SPIELBERG!) that he got a chance to do, that perhaps he might not’ve if Thor hadn’t come along.
My baby. He’s grown so much, and worked so hard. You deserve it Tom.
